Thameside Photography is part of Thameside Media, founded in 2008, whose award-winning projects include World Whisky and DK Travel Guides.
In 2012 Thameside Media took over a neighbouring product photography business called Slippery Fishes and for years traded under the Slippery Fishes name in addition to Thameside Photography for architecture and location photography. However, in June 2022 we finally decided to drop the Slippery Fishes name in favour of Thameside Photography for all the photography work.

Thameside Media’s photographer, Michael Ellis, studied to a masters level at Glasgow School of Art, working across a range of media, including photography, film, video, text and sound. He has been photographing professionally since 2002. Michael’s photography has been published in the award-winning World Whisky, Betjeman’s Churches, the popular Londoner’s Diary series and Dragons’ Den. See his blog on “all the work that’s not work” for his thoughts on architectural photography and related subjects.
